isc-dhcp-server software package provides ISC DHCP server for automatic IP address assignment, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install isc-dhcp-server
isc-dhcp-server is installed in your system.
Make ensure the isc-dhcp-server package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep isc-dhcp-server *
You will get with isc-dhcp-server package name, version, architecture and description in a table
